New Happenings...

It's been a while so I will give you the run down on the new happenings in our life...
*I no longer work! Now I get to stay home with my sweet boy!!! I am so excited for this new adventure in my life. I feel like as a working mom I missed so much. I am looking forward to all the fun times Ryker & I are going to have together.
* We are selling our home and will be moving to Evanston. Even though we have a lot of people that are unhappy about this, it will be nice to have Ryland home more. I am excited to have a new home and more space to grow.
(NO, I'm not announcing anything)

* The snow is falling and we are ready to get the snowmobiles out! I'm not sure who is more excited Ryland or Ryker!

*I am over half way finished with my invisalign!! My teeth are starting to look so nice! I have always envied my sisters teeth, & now maybe I will have a beautiful smile like hers!!

* We had a wonderful Christmas. We were definitely spoiled!!! By the day after Christmas our entire living room was full!! I had to box up toys just so we could put the new ones away!!! We are so blessed that our families do so much for us! Thank you for all the nice gifts we love you all so much!

This time of year reminds me how much we take for granted.. family, friends, jobs, good health etc. So to those of you I love I hope you know how special each and every one of you are to me. I'm sure I don't say it enough, but I love you & thank you for all you do for me!!!
Ryland~ I have to tell you how much I love you and how grateful I am for everything you provide for us. You make so many sacrifices so that we can have a wonderful life & I know I don't tell you Thank You enough!
Mom & Dad~ THANK YOU so much for all the times you watch Ryker. It is so nice for me to know that my child is in good hands. You do so much for us & I appreciate it more than you know!! Thank you just doesn't feel like enough! Ryker loves you both so much & so do for us!!!
It is a wonderful time of year to reflect on all the great things in our lives, but for me it is a difficult time of year as well.
It was just the 15th anniversary of my Grandmas untimely and tragic death. We all miss her so much! It's hard for me to believe that she has been gone that long. She has been gone longer than she was in my life, but I will never forget her. Her memory will live in my heart forever!
I am so thankful that she was such an involved part of my life so I have all my memories. I am also grateful my parents have been so involved in Ryker's life so he too can have treasured memories.

"Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure.

You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure."

Grandma~ until we meet again, I love you and miss you!!!!!

Fun night on the town

Last night we went to Layton to a pumpkin farm. Ryker must be a farm kid at heart because he loved it. He was running around having a great time. We let him pick out the pumpkins and I have to say he did a great job! All of them stand up nice and have stems. We also let him pick corn, which he loves and was so excited about. He even thought he was big enough to drive the tractor. Needless to say he wasn't thrilled when he had to get back in the car.
After we left the farm we decided to go get some dinner. We were on our way to Olive Garden when we passed Chuck E Cheese. Ryland suggested maybe Ryker would think that was fun, so we decided to give it a shot. And yes, Ryker had so much fun! All the lights and sounds from the games were so exciting even though he was too little for most of them, but he didn't care he was having a great time. He loved the "mouse" aka Chuck. He won exactly 74 tickets which was enough to buy 2 crazy straws, which I am positive he will love to blow bubbles in his drinks with.
We had such a fun night! Especially since we did it all on a whim.

I didn't get any pictures but I will post some of our pumpkins when I get them set out.

Fun things to look forward to:

I think it is safe to say it's officially fall. Which means the following things will take place:

The leaves are starting to change. They are SO pretty this time of year!

Pumpkins!!! So much fun to carve!
Trick or Treating!! This is Ryker's costume this year...

Another thing I love about fall is the cool temperatures. Summer is WAY to hot! Who doesn't enjoy wearing a hoodie and being all snugly in it.

Happy Birthday Ryker!!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Ryker...
Ryker celebrated his second birthday on Saturday the 12th. He got to spend the day at the zoo with Grandma, Grandpa & Lacey!

Sunday we had a Wonder Pets party. Ryker LOVES the Wonder Pets, much to Ryland's dismay. Ryker had a great time playing with his cousins. He got a bunch of wonderful gifts. Mommy & Daddy got him a 4 wheeler. I know a 2 year old.. but we couldn't resist the temptation.

Happy Anniversary!!!

On the 12th Ryland & I celebrated our 6th anniversary!! Wow, time flys when your having fun! I just have to say how great of a husband Ryland is. Ryland is a very loving and caring person. He is such a hard worker and he gives up so much to provide a great life for us. I would be lost without you. Thank you for the wonderful 6 years! Here's to 60 more. LOVE YOU!

Carson Lee Coleman

HE IS HERE!!! Carson Lee Coleman was born June 28, 2009 at 5:15pm. Weighing 7 lbs 15 oz & 21" long! After a trip to NICU for breathing problems, all is well with him and his mommy. We are so excited to have this new addition to the family!
I am so proud of Cody & Natalie. They were thrown into a very difficult situation as new parents when the nurses rushed their new baby out. But they stayed strong and calm. I cant say that I would have been able to. I hope everything goes better for little Carson & I can't wait to see him! Once I get to see him, I will post pictures!

Adults Weekend Out

This weekend Ryland & I went to Logan with our friends Ryan & Tiffany. It was a blast!! I know most people would be like "Logan.. don't overdue yourselves" but it was so great! We got to our hotel, the Best Western, again, don't overdue ourselves right, and were totally starving. We went to this place called the Coppermill Restaurant, YUMMY!!! During dinner the 2 Ry's had a male bonding experience that I imagine will last with all of us for a while. Ryland has this terrible habit of licking his knife after he uses it. (totally drives me crazy, it's so gross!)
Anyway, after a while Ryland says to Ryan, yes it gets confusing, is that my knife?
Ryan~ I don't think so, maybe... Ryland~ did you use it? Ryan~ yes...
at this point Ryland starts laughing so hard he can't even tell Ryan he has licked it clean prior to his use. Well needless to say they have a new level of friendship. Once we got back to the hotel we decided to sit in the hot tub, which was full. But we were able to force our way in. Then this very large "Santa Claus" looking man joined us. As we were sitting there, I was trying to squirt water from squeezing my hands together. Well Ryan thought he needed to show me up, which he did, but he wasn't aware that every time he tried to spray me with water he was actually squirting "Santa" in the face.
After we got back to our room, yes we are cheap and shared a room, we decided our pillows were the worst pillows on Gods green earth. So we made a midnight Walmart run for new pillows. Upon return to our room we all were spent & hit the hay.
9:00 the next morning we woke up. Which is not something we get to do very often due to our chillins. Once we decided to "get up and get moving" we went to breakfast at the local Village Inn. Then headed to Lava Hot Springs for the day. We took the back roads and enjoyed adult conversation without interruptions. We finally arrived at the Hot Pots and boy were they HOT!! But they felt oh so good. The sun was out and there was a slight breeze, which made for just perfect temperature. We even got a little color!! On our way out of town we stopped at this cute little ice cream/ candy shop. The awesome part about this ice cream shop is they serve the ice cream in squares!! It was so cool!
We made it to Tremonton before we were ready for some lunch/ dinner, so we stopped at the Denny's there in town and had ourselves some grub. Before we left we wanted to see what our odds were of winning the stuffed animals in the "claw" machine. We ROCKED that!! 2 out of 3 tries we won!!! We are officially the kings & queens of the "claw" machine!
We had an awesome time!! Thanks to Tiff & Ry for going! We are defiantly going to do it again!

Sled Head!

Recently we went on a short trip to Cedar City snowmobiling. Yes I know the 2 don't usually go together, but there is awesome snow up the canyon past Brianhead ski resort. This trip was Ryker's first experience with snowmobiling & surprisingly he did incredibly well!! He knew exactly what had to be done to go too... go get mom, put on snow clothes, get helmet, go outside & pull the cord. Easy right??
All ready to go!!

Ryker was my little riding buddy! We had such a good time together! Until he fell asleep!! WOW, keeping him on the seat once he was asleep was quite tricky! It was so funny when we would stop I would let him down to stretch his legs, instead he would lay face down in the snow and eat it!! It didn't matter that it was cold on his face, he was just having a great time being a kid.

Grandma & Grandpa got Ryker this little sled for Christmas. He had so much fun in it! We would let him go down these smallish hills and his facial expression was worth a thousand words!
So cute!

One day we decided to ride to a place called Mammoth Cave. It was awesome! It is this big hole in the ground and it goes down 2500 feet into the earth! (I think that is what it said) My dad and brother Cody climbed down into the opening & said it was really neat! They said there were tons of animal tracks inside the cave. Wouldn't that be a shock to climb down in there and find a mtn lion or something... Here are some pictures~

Lacey, Mom, Ryker & me standing on top of the cave opening.

Here is how to get out of the cave... find a random hole and come out like a fox comes out of its den. They look like gophers!

The trip would not have been complete without a few good pictures of the boys jumping their sleds so here ya go...

We all had a great time! Maybe we can do this again next winter!
