We flew to Phoenix then had to take this little thing to Yuma... Yes those are propellers!!!! We about died when we found out that was our plane. It was so small it only had 9 rows! But we made it safe and sound.
One we got to Yuma we put on our shorts and went out to enjoy the retired life. Let me tell you I have never seen so many old ladies in bikinis laying out getting a tan. I almost had to laugh. Imagine your grandma in a 2 piece laying by the pool.. thank goodness mine wasn't one of them!
As you can see, Ryker quickly became very attached to my Grandpa. They were like long lost buddies. So cute! I think it was because they let Ryker play in the water fountain, something mom wouldn't do...
Here is Ryker by a palm tree. Just tall enough for him to stand under. (If you noticed the scratch above his lip, he took a pretty good fall and the cement caught him. Poor guy!)
My Grandpa has a grapefruit tree in his yard. Ryker thought it was the neatest thing to pick the grapefruit off and get to eat them. It is amazing all the fruit trees down there. They have lemon trees, orange trees and whatever else grows on them. It is pretty cool though, they look like ornaments hanging in the trees. And they are everywhere.
We had a great trip & had to come home sooner than we wanted to. I am so glad we went! I hadn't seen my grandpa in about 16 months so it was long over due! And yes, we had to fly on the mini plane to come home. However we almost missed the dang thing!! Lucky for us they were lenient because we had a child (phew)!! Thanks Ryker, we wouldn't have made it if it weren't for you!!
